    Just call him Evil Knievel

I have been leaving Buddy in my small kitchen during the week instead of his crate.  I was using a dog walker 3 days a week and it was just too expensive, so two days a week Buddy is alone for a long period of time.  I felt awful having to make that decision, but it was between the dog walker and feeding us, so food won out.  :)

This last week Buddy has been jumping the 3 foot gate that I have been using.  I couldn't believe it the first day he greeted me at the door.  He had shredded a paper shopping bag, but that was all.  The next day, he greeted me at the door and had not done anything.  No accidents, no chewing, nothing.  I put kitchen chairs in front of the gate and, yep, he jumped those too.  Now, I have totally puppy proofed the house and the only things there are to chew on, besides his toys, are the pieces of furniture that cannot be moved.

Yesterday, my dad went over a few hours after I had left in the morning to let him out and he told me that Buddy was laying on the rug I use by the door for my shoes.  He was laying on my slippers I wear when I take him out.  Aww...too cute.

Sign him up for the Olympics and then reap the financial rewards from the product endorsements afterward.

When I was potty training Gypsy, I had TWO baby gates (one above the other) because Gypsy could hop over one...and three months.  So, it looked like a prison around here for awhile. People sure gave us strange looks when they came in and had to go through our bedroom to ge tto the kitchen!

Yup.  I remember that phase - it didn't last long - Pofi would have none of it and pushed or pulled the lower one out of the door frame.  He'd figure out which direction worked and keep at it till he got free.
