Two new little pieces of art!

Two new little pieces of art!

I sat down yesterday and finished these two aceo's(art cards editions & originals). Lots of fun trying to fit the details into these ones as they only measure 2.5"x3.5".  They're all over ebay, check them out by typing ACEO into the ebay search engine. They're absolutely so much fun to peruse through!  At least I find it fun. Anyhow, here are my 2:
    A pretty little catflower:

    And an agile aussie:

    Just thought I'd share!

I just bought four of them from an artist in Canada off of e-bay. Mine depict mermaids and are going in my newly remodeled bathroom. It was not easy finding frames for them! They are fun though.

GACK! I'd go blind a lot faster than I already am! I've painted portraits on 2" ceramic heart magnets (notice the past-tense) and thanks, but no thanks. Those are great Emily! Just for all the new people, why don't you show Amber's sketch again. It's just so breathtaking! Of course, it's my dog, but it's so fabulous. I think everyone needs to see more of your varied talent.

Thanks guys!  Maisy, next time check ebay for aceo frames. There's a few people on there that sell them.  Also another option if you buy multiple ones, by one big frame and have a frame shop cut a matte for you with multiple openings!

Debbie, thanks so much. They are rather tiny. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to paint these with acrylics and oils.  Watercolor is a little easier I think.  But maybe that just because that's what I'm used to! And since you asked here's amber (let me know if you want to work out a trade like we talked about a while back[;)]):

I love that you post your stuff for all of us to enjoy.  Here is a portrait that I recently did of my departed Socks whom I lost about a month ago.  She was 17.  Quite a grand old dame.

    Those are awesome!

Debbie- you think 2" magnets are bad, the pendants taht I'm doing are 1" across! (Pics are of a saluki, a JRT, a collie, and a non-pet one that I did for my grandmother)

Yep Emily, you bet. Shoot me an e-mail. I LOVE that sketch of Amber! We have some very talented people on this board. I love looking at all the art. Emily, I find acrylics and oils so much easier than watercolor and sketch, so I think it's just, like you say, what we're used to. I'm going to sit down when I have time (in my next life maybe?) and teach myself to do portraits on fabric. I have a friend that sews, and I could have a real good time with that!

Oh Em, I love them!  Like Debbie, I too would be blind trying to do that!  What *can't* you do???  ;)
