Any Black lab owners over the pond, Hi

    Hi all

Nice web site full of helpful folk's with loveing hearts, nice to see so many nice words written, my kind of folks. The good Lord made all things so nice, but once I see him, I will say, Lord you gave me so much, but I would have loved to have had a dog to be my best friend all the way though life. Many of you have seen our beloved dog's get old and sad to say move on. But we move forward slowly and find someone new, to share life.

Any Black Lab' owners out in the big blue Yonder, just a Hi to you all. Well back to looking at this nice site and looking at all your find  photos.

    Take care

Thought I would chime in here too! I am a newbie to this board and I too have a black lab!!! Black is best!!

Belle is my girl, she is what they call an American Lab (long legged). She is HUGE!!!!! We had an english lab for over 15 years and we wanted another like her, but we didn't shop for an "english" per se, we just looked for a cute puppy. We didn't bargain on the gargantuan mutant dog!

Belle is WONDERFUL, she is the sweetest, kindest, most loving dog I have ever known and I have others besides her too. She is a true Lab.There devotion is so steadfast.

    Labs Rule!

Welcome...  You will love it here.  My first childhood dog was a black lab. She was at my side for 13 years and went EVERY WHERE with me.    Lived in a small town and they even let me bring her in the stores.  How I miss her........... Molly is a black lab mix.  Tank is chocolate and Shiloh is yellow.

I have a Black Lab puppy named Mirelle, and that's her picture on the left. It's a baby puppy picture though, she's now 10 months old! She's  actually in training to be a service dog, so she's not technically my dog.

Nice photos you guy's thanks, nice to see them all, nice to also fine friends this side of the pond also Hi. Well Coke has royal background longs ways back, both sites, one side Scotland and the other Sandringham by name on history documents. He is a fine dog, you can tell he has that something about him, sometimes just by the look in his eyes. Fine friend to be with, keep the photo coming.

I would love to do a section on here about the history of the breed of doy from wolf to being with man, to try and help new owners understand first before getting a dog. Pre- school you may say, so many go on about breeding and I must say we have a number of cowboy's over here in the UK sorry no ill ment to our US friends, but you understand, in breeding just for money, farms. Well to them I say, get them shut down right away, better it will be, Just breeding for money thats a new ball game dont get me going please"

I wish new owners would first sit down a look at the breed what was and it's history, way back, like some one said on here, someone had a dog from a pound the returned it becauce to dog all the time kept rounding up the farm stock, The person bid not understand that's what the breed did DUH!!!!!  Maybe we need to write in our signture strip what the history of each breed did or was wayback. It never comes out of the blood, bit harder if crossed breed, but you can only tell what both breed history is. But I am talking way back history the begining, Back to the ROOT's thats what we need to tell new owners, If you have a dog that is a gun dog and needs to be out in the fild all day and you stick it in a small flat all day with only one walk a day well someone needs a size 9 up the read end, I think you all understand what I am trying to say. I hope more and more breeders will be harder leting dog's go, by asking a person to come back three times, by asking if the new owner would show a letterhead from a vet and to show the first appointment booking card for first visit to the vet. If the person is willing to keep returning after all that, well then we are getting somewhere. Sorry Ill get of me Orange Box and thank you so much you guys. PS it is always nice to see that check chains are put on right, some folk's dont understand that you can put them on wrong. We do not put check chains on full this this way, need to be free on the field. we find hands on training from a young dog will kill the need to pull, but I do understand Lad,s are sod's for pulling all the time, biting at the bit you may say.
