Well, I used to live down there (until last year) and finding holistic anything there is going to be a problem. I liked our vet (St. Marys Veterinary Hosptial), we recieved excellent care there and we were able to get in for emergencies with a minimum of fuss. One of my cats needed emergency surgery for cystitis and they were awesome. But there's definately no accupuncture going on there! I was not impressed by the Breton Bay Vet--they were snotty and expensive for no good reason.
When you get there, contact the [link
http://www.goodearthnaturals.com/]Good Earth Natural Foods[/link] in Leonardtown. It's the only health food store in the area and, as such, they act as a good referral for all things natural. The owner has three dogs of her own and she does minimal vax, so I know they'll be able to point you in the right direction. Tell 'em Cressida sent ya (I worked there for a year and a half).
PM me if you need any more general info about the area. DH and I lived there for four years until running for our lives and escaping last year, and back in the 90's I went to college there too.
