Drastic post-surgery personality change - possible infection?

Winnie had surgery on Wednesday (spayed, cherry eye removed, dewclaws removed).  I'm a little concerned because she just doesn't seem to be bouncing back from this - not that I expected a 24 hour turn-around, but I thought by today she might be a little more active and more interested.

First, she hasn't eaten a full meal since the surgery - only about half her food each time we've fed her.  She had peed and pooped and that's been normal.  She hasn't been drinking as much water today - and it's hotter today, so that worries me.

Second, yesterday she was willing to jump into our laps (not a far jump and I wouldn't have encouraged it if she hadn't done it on her won).  Just standing on her hind legs makes her whimper a little, and she's shrieked a bit just moving around when we've taken her outside.  She's also far sleepier today than yesterday.  She was zonked out when we came back from running errands; we took her out for 15 min and then she wanted to come back in, and she's asleep again.

At any rate, I'm a bit concerned, but I have no idea how to determine if she might have an infection.  We've got a follow-up with the vet tomorrow afternoon, but I don't want to wait too long.  Her nose is wet and cool, and the bruises on her tummy look better, but it seems to be causing her more pain.  Any suggestions?  Things I should look for?

Just wanted to bump this up to the top, so others might be able to respond with some good advice. Things tend to get lost on the weekends.

My only advice is (obviously) take her to the vet. He's the only one that can really tell if there's an infection. Hope Winnie starts feeling better soon!

If you are truly concerned, take your girl to the vet.  Just keep in mind that your baby girl didn't have ONE surgery, she had THREE.  That means triple the recuperating time.  Her face is sore, her belly is sore, and her forefeet are sore.

If she jumped up, it's because she really wanted to be with you, and chances are now she's feeling just a little "regret" for doing so, because she's feeling it now.  She's likely just very very tired and wants to laze around while she recovers.

Like I said before, if you're exceptionally worried, take her to the vet.  Better safe than sorry :-)
