I can't believe what my little hoover almost ate!

I was walking Buddy near my apartment building, along a sidewalk, when the leash pulled short because he was yet again trying to pick something up from the sidewalk.  He will try to pick up anything!  I can usually pull him off of it with the command leave it.  This time he was really going after something.  I looked down and saw something white entering the mouth.  I leaned down and gave the command drop it right before I was going fishing in his mouth.  Out came a white pill about the size of a vitamin.  I turned it over and it had the word Vicadin imprinted on it.  It looks to be about 600-700ml.  Can you believe it?  He didn't have time to chew it at all, so I know that he is okay.  Jeez, what won't he find?  lol

Wow. Good thing you were watching him extra close especially if he tries to pick everything. Good for him for dropping it and being a good puppy.

Holy cow... good thing he dropped it when you told him to!  Trixie does the same thing, she will pick up anything - ;puzzle pieces, q-tips, cotton balls lol.  Do you have an off button for that Hoover? [:D

Wow that's scary! I'm glad he didn't swallow that. I wonder who dropped their Vicodin. That's expensive stuff.

    Yikes, good lookin' out!
I'm always amazed and disgusted by the things I find on the sidewalks... cooked chicken carcasses, meat patties... but no Vicodin so far!

    Good boy, Buddy!

That reminds me of a story I read once about a similar situation. A woman saw her dog pick up something that looked like a pill, she freaked out, made a big fuss and wrestled the dog to get it out of its mouth, and it turned out to be a tic-tac. [:D]
