We have been needing RAIN for weeks now. Today the heat wave and the drought broke. It has been raining ever since 2:30 here. I cannot get Shannara to come in!!!!! She is out there running around in the rain having herself a blast. I even sent my eldest out there to pick her up and bring her in. Nope! She kept running off and all I got back inside was a wet son.
Shannara loved being on our porch, in our old apartment, whenever it rained. She would spend hours out there smelling the new scents. She has never gotten a chance to play in it. I have seen her pouncing rain drops and stomping her front paws in the puddles.
Bubbles keeps looking out the window at Shannara as though she has lost her doggy brain. I even opened the door for Bubbles to see if she wanted back outside. She looked at me as if I was nuts too!
I have the towels ready for her. I will be trying to get her back in soon. What a relief the rain is though!! It is so dark here that we need the lights on in some rooms. Maybe, just maybe we have reached the beginning of the end of Summer.
