My dog wont stop stealing

• My dog wont stop stealing XxKxMxX Posted : 8/24/2006 3:38:21 PM My dog wont stop stealing things no matter what it is where you are she will pick something up and take it somewhere else and eat it. Sometimes she wont give it back. You can teach her to have a sense of property: 1.Stop putting things she wants in her reach, and give her things of her own that are more fun than your things (ie, bones or other yummy/chewies). 2. Praise her for choosing her things. 3. They steal a pen off the table and suddenly their humans are jumping around and yelling - hey, fun game! • ladiebug Posted : 8/24/2006 8:48:59 PM I agree with everything so far.  I had to spray a few things in my garage with Bitter Yuck a few times because the dogs got curious with tools.  I thought SU had put things high enough that they wouldn't reach.  I bought them balls, chew toys, bones, even basketballs to keep them busy.  They just couldn't seem to resist, but after a couple tastes of the bitters, they stopped.
