Wow. Still, he's just adding to the over population of homeless pets. Second, the type of people that buy from pet stores are impulse buyers, who really didn't do any research otherwise they would have learned that a pet store is the worse place to buy a dog.

I am a sales rep for a pet product distributor. I have 2 clients that sell puppies. 1 Pet Land, and the other that I'm not quite sure what to think of. She has posters all over about the horrors of puppy mills and insists that her dogs are from good breeders. But again what breeder would sell their puppies to a store and not know where their puppies are going. Plus, she's in a college town and is willing to sell to college kids???

On the plus side though, she's a former vet tech and knows alot, I mean alot about animal nutrition. So the pups are getting good care, but still. I don't know what to think about that place.

I've been to the place, well not me my boyfriend, they had boston terriers in the newspaper and my boyfriend just wanted to see how they were being kept at the pet store, just to see what the store was like (totally against pet store dogs) well he went in and they had 4 bostons in there and they let him carry a couple of them one was really happy and one was really stunned looking, just sat there spaced out he said, he said it looked so sick.... he asked them questions and they didnt know anything about them, and told him that he would have to talk to the manager? Terrible....

yeah,,,its hard to tell if he is telling the truth or lying,,,,BUT regardless...with all the dogs that are being put to sleep on a daily basis..he is adding to it.  And it that is the only thing he is doing wrong,,,that is too much.  HOWEVER,,,,I believe no breeders would sell to him,,,I believe he is selling puppy  mill puppies.  NO pet store admits to selling puppy mill puppies,,,why would he?
He MIGHT take better care of them, he might teach buyers how to take care of them,,,but what about the mothers of those puppies,,  kept in cages their whole lives, never enjoying companionship and love or care of a human,, never having their feet walk on anything but wire...having babies after babies and then discarded after she can't have any more.  THAT is what upsets me more than anything about puppy mills.  Many of the brokers and puppy mills  DO take care of the "good" puppies now,,,because more people are aware that they might be purchasing sick pups...so they can't get away with selling sick ones as much. But what about the sick ones that are born,,,the CLASS B pups...and again, what about their mamas???
