This is a mistake often made.
"They can keep each other company! That way Fifi won't feel so lonely!" This is a misconception and raising two pups together, while not impossible, is really NOT for the inexperienced owner! As you are seeing, they often bond to each other, and, instead of having separation anxiety over YOU they have it over their fuzzbrother.
I've seen this many times, and there is one pair of dogs that comes into the grooming salon that I absolutely
dread because heaven forbid you separate them for a bath and clip. I can't STAND it! They howl, scream, yelp, and carry on, because they're not together!
Normally I'm for the "you clean up the mess you made and keep that dog" thing, but quite honestly, if you only got the other dog a couple days ago, it may very well be in the best interest of both the dogs and YOU to return the newest pup, or you're in for a world of trouble
