**update**
I have been thinking long and hard about this. This little pup pulls at my heart strings like none other (except for Tyson, of course, be hes already a part of our family).
I am, however, starting graduate school in September, and will be a lil busier than usual. I do not want, though, to see this dog go to an undeserving, or worse yet, bad bad home. Especially since she is not charging an adoption fee! [sm=banghead002.gif]
So.... I sent this email.
Hi,
I have been doing a ton of thinking about lil Ava. I can't get her out of my head. However, my concern is this: I am starting Graduate school at NYU in September. My boyfriend is not going to be living her full time yet, so he is not a realistic option to help with the pup... although I may have a friend staying with me... I will be working full time and going to school part time (until 8 or 9 on Tues. and Wed. night.) I have been trying very hard to make this work in my mind -- coming home during lunchtime to spend time with/walk Ava, getting a dog walker for the two nights that I am not home. I fear, though, that I will be very busy, and she may not get the attention she deserves, although I am 100% confident that I could provide her with the best home in all other arenas... training, love, medical care, spoiledness, knowledge and experience with the breed, etc.
I will say this, however, I do not want her to fall into the wrong hands, especially if you are not asking an adoption fee. This is very dangerous, as when a pup is free, anyone would be more than happy to snatch her up. My suggestion is to charge a fee, but that is up to you. If you cannot find a home that you are 100% sure about, and 100% comfortable with, then I will adopt her. That is the decision/plan that I came to... If you are comfortable with that, of course.
Please let me know how you feel about this. And give little Ava belly rubs for me!
Thanks,
Alison
I think, to put my mind at ease, that this is the best decision.
