I came across these forums the other day looking to solve a doggy problem and find myself addicted already! So, I thought I'd make it official and say hello.
I'm in MI with 2 dogs - an aussie puppy and a senior Siberian Husky (the cuties pictured in my avatar). This is my first time owning 2 dogs at the same time. Growing up and with all of the moving around I did in college and after I never felt it was a good idea to get more than one. I finally bought a new house though with a nice privacy fenced in yard and decided to get this aussie. With my husky about to turn 14, she can't keep up like she used to so this aussie will fill in on the extra long hikes and such. I plan on turning him into a frisbee maniac - he's already a squeeky football fetching pro - and doing some agility.
I'm finding out that there are definitely pros and cons to owning 2 dogs! For instance - my puppy learns a lot from my senior dog like how to walk on a leash politely, how to calm down in the house, how to ride in the car nicely and how to drink out of the toilet
(that's a con!) It's a lot of fun having a new puppy around again though!
