I had more than 8,000 on the old board, so I'm not the only oldie that wants my post count restored. I am still way behind Glenda.
Anyway, I am a professional trainer with all breed experience, including rare breeds, and the occasional deaf or blind dogs. I teach puppy kindergarten, basic manners, and advanced classes using operant conditioning techniques that are as dog-friendly as I can make them. I am also a groomer, and have been an assistant ACO.
My education is in the field of Psychology and I belong to Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society. I've attended many seminars and workshops given by leading behaviorists and trainers, and I handle two (three up until Oct. 4 when my heart dog went to the Bridge) registered therapy dogs (one, Sioux, is my avatar here). I am a CGC Evaluator.
I like to debate, and I like to provide any advice I can that will help any dog remain in a loving, kind, and "forever" home.
