Kitty litter that can be flushed.....

Kitty litter that can be flushed.....

Does anyone here use the kitty litter that can be flushed? I have never tried it for fear of it ruining the plumbing. (Yes I realize that it's made to be safe..... but I still worry.)

    Anyway my questions are:

    1. What brand do you use?
    2. Are the clumps still easy to scoop, or do they crumble?
    3. Does it seem to flush easily?
    4. Has anyone ever had problems with the litter not flushing, or clogging the pipes?

    Thanks!!!!

Wish I could give you some sort of advice about it, but I always scoop and bag the clumps. I've never flushed litter because I have always had 2 cats and they producse just too much waste for me to feel comfortable flushing it!

Yep, I scoop an bag the clumps too. They do make a flushable kitty litter, that allows you to flush the clumps. I think that it's grain based instead of clay based. I thought that maybe someone had tried it before, because I am interested. With 4 cats and 4 litter boxes, I scoop and bag ALL the time!

I have always flushed World's Best Cat Litter and Feline Pine, both are all biogradable and flushable.

World's Best Cat Litter is corn based, and it clumps VERY well.

I prefer Feline Pine because I only have to scoop and flush the solid waste.  I think Feline Pine has better odor control, but my toilet gets stained faster.  They also have Feline Pine Scoop, but I haven't tried it.

With one cat, I have been flushing the cat litter daily since Oct 05, and so far I have no plumbing issues.

Just a word on Feline Pine--if you use it be careful switching to it.  One of our cats decided that not only was she NOT going to use it, but that it was actually something to eat.  [:'(]  We don't use that anymore.

I have tried just about every cat litter in creation, and have never been impressed with the flushable ones.

I tried Swheat Scoop, but the clumps were so hard, I had to sit and wait for several minutes before I could flush each one which was ridiculous... also, my cat didn't like the litter and started pottying next to her litterbox to prove a point... >X.x;<
