Can someone help MIL keep her cat?

Nicole - I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but there is a brand of cat litter that is really supposed to help cats who have had some avoidance issues.  It's called Cat Attract and was developed by a feline only vet.  A lot of people have given strong testimonial to its effectiveness with litter box wary cats.  I've not had to try it myself and it is a clay based litter, which is not my preference, but it may be worth a shot!

    Here's the product:

I don't think Dog.com is carrying it currently - but I know it is available both by web and in some of the big pet supply stores.

Oh wow.  seems like many other cats have the same issues as hers does!

I will definitely pass this along, maybe it is as simple as a litter switch.
    thanks!

I second cat attract.  A friend of mine did foster care for awhile (only cats) and one of them also had this tendency to poop outside of the box...always peed in the litter though.  Cat attract really helped!

Also, my Dad's cat's (rest their souls) were VERY VERY picky about the litter box.  They liked it cleaned very often and they did not like certain kinds of litter.  Heaven forbid the day my Dad came home once with a different brand b/c it was on sale and the regular stuff he typically used he couldn't find....what a mess they made!
