What is too cold for cats?

Hi again everyone. I currently live in central Texas. Trinity insists on having the bathroom and bedroom windows open every day. Sometimes, I have to tell her that it is too cold for them to be open. She seems to be able to tolerate 50+ degrees. I am wondering if that is too cold or what is too cold for a cat to be able to sit in an open window. It is not only Trinity. Hayley and Static also like sitting in the window as well. Amber is quickly learning though.  Static is a short hair, Trinity is medium hair, and Amber and Hay are long hairs. I do not know if this makes much of a difference at all though.

I would think if a cat found it too cold the cat would leave the area [:D] then find the warmest spot in the house. If you think it's too cold just shut the window. I couldn't leave my open even at 50 degrees w/out being cold, then I'd have to turn the heat up and with the cost of oil I'd be cursing the bill.
That's the beauty of cats...if they don't like a situation they'll just leave.
