    Re:Laundry from yesterday

Hey this post went up yesterday before the forum went down and I wanted to get my 2 cents in.  If you add a cup of white vinegar to your wash it will neutralize the bleach in there no matter where it came from.  That should help with the spots.  Just double rinse to get rid of the smell.  It goes away pretty quickly on its own anyway.

I lived through the 80's bleached jeans fad![8D]

Stains show character.  And please, no matter how tempting, don't post pictures of skid-marked underwear.  [sm=wink.gif]

So, you are telling me I can use bleach on anything and it wont fade colors if I put vinegar in the same load?
Like kids jeans, bleach and vinegar and they come out fine?

    This cannot be true?

I never heard that before, but can't wait to try it. I hate getting bleach spots on solid, dark colored towels!

If you want to try it you should probably make sure that you mix the two in the water in the machine first before adding any clothes.  Personally I would use colorsafe bleach for colours.  I know of the vinegar thing from bleaching my jeans when I was a teen.  Once the denim was the colour I wanted I would spray it with vinegar.  That would neutralize the bleach and the denim would stop lightening.  Honestly though I add Javex 2 to all my black clothes to keep them black.  It really works.  God I sound like my mom!
