My brother went through something terrible

Last night he was in the city and he saw a woman throw her baby on the road and run, he saw her stab a police officer.  The baby is dead and the woman is in custody. My brother is very upset. He is really shaken up. I feel so bad for him. The news is not releasing any news other than this. That poor child.

Oh my God - I am so sorry that happened to him and to the child.  What an awful thing to have to observe.  Just talk to you brother and make sure he is ok.  Talking and sharing feelings are sometimes the most important thing.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well as that poor baby.

How horrible for your brother!  I am so sorry to hear about the baby.
Hope your brother finds a positive way to deal with the traumatic stress he must be under.  Prayers for him, you and everyone involved.

That poor baby!  Your poor brother!  How aweful.  I hope she gets what she deserves.  Does he have to testify?

Its very sad what happened to that baby and the police officer... I, too, hope she gets everything she deserves.

I don't know if he'll have to go to court. He called me and asked if they baby made it and I told him no. He was so upset.

I'm just going to guess here that the woman has some pretty severe mental issues.  Those are just not the acts of a sane, normal person - no matter how much stress you might be dealing with.

There are no words to describe how traumatising that must have been to witness.....it is so difficult to even just hear about a case like this.  I agree that the best thing you can do right now is give your brother any support and opportunities to talk that he might need.  It may be understandably difficult to hear him describe it, but keeping it inside could do him terrible damage.

I will agree that this woman is likely mentally ill, but that can't change the impact of witnessing it.

It's horrible that your brother had to see this. I suppose he'll have to go to court and testify, too. How awful.

Where do you all live? I mean, it's just one horrible thing after another! I've lived in big cities and never experienced the level of violence and crime you've talked about in just one month! I'm blown away! [:@]

OH MY GOD is all I can say. I feel for your brother hope he is ok. This lady had to of been on some sort of drugs, who would throw their child on the road.

Some people should not have kids just like some people should not own pets.

I've seen some similar things in some very bad places. And it does affect you. I've been at a biker hang-out where they've beaten people to a literal pulp because it was Friday night. Another time, I saw a club parked off of a main road placing a body in a trunk. I was riding with a friend in his truck. We were approaching a red light and I told him to run the light. I would pay for his ticket if he got one, but we needed to be scarce. And I was too far away to  get any info. That was part of what I meant in your other thread about some clubs take care of their problems in a way that removes all traces.

OTOH, I've been with other biker clubs that were cool and calm, such as the Banshees and Rebels. Jus hard-working folk that don't want to be hassled.

Best wishes for your brother. He'll recover if he can find other things that are uplifting.

Sometimes i find it so hard to believe that people can be so.. so.. despicable. To kill a helpless, harmless, innocent child. *sigh* I hope your brother is ok.
