An argumentative day today

    Oh, shades of Wal-Mart, Amy. [:D] That place would rather keep an account in a dead guys name than put it in his widows name. That stupid place won't let me access our account on line - it has to be DH.  But guess what?  DH doesn't know how to type, can't use a computer and is deathly afraid of any type of technology.  Which is why I have to program the VCR and set the alarm clock. [:D] And I also have to keep the checkbook balanced and write all the checks every month, even the one to Wal-Mart. But God forbid *little wifey* should get a peek at the account on-line.  Grrrrr.

    [sm=tex.gif]Hey sharismom
     I understand what your going thru.  I know when I got divorced I made the judge specifically include what was his debt and what was mine.  My dad is still getting bills for my grandmother that has been dead for 7 years.  Ok enough depression.  Ready to laugh?  When my son was 7 yrs old he got mail, pre-approved for a Visa card.  He opened it up and said "Mom whats an annual salary"  so I told him put down 48,000.00.  He filled in all the information including his social security number, signed it, and mailed the application.  Guess what, about 3 weeks later came a brand new Visa card with his name on it and a 1,000.00 limit.  Imagine that 7 years old. LOL LOL[sm=happy.gif]   Oh another thing, true story.  When we first seperated my X was to carry medical insurance for me and our son.  COURT ORDERED.  Okay so I went to the doctors, had 2 surgerys.  I thought I had a valid insurance card.  So did the doctors and the hospitals.  GUESS WHAT!!  I had NO INSURANCE for 2 years.  He cancelled it.  When the bills started rolling in to the tune of 46,000.00.  I pannicked.  When I got to Supreme Court for my divorce GUESS WHAT!! Court ordered and in my divorce he is responsible for all of it.  I had a problem with one doctor $416.00.  They sent me for collection.  I hand delivered all my court papers to them, and they said they want their money.  I filed in Civil Court for $8,000.00 for harrassment and deformation and I want that debt DELETED from my credit history.  I WON!!  Walked into civil court by myself.  They had 2 attorneys there, the judge took one look at my family court papers and my supreme court papers and flipped out. YELLING!  I had 44 papers from the collection agency.  I brought in my phone records I had 318 phone calls from the collection agency.  Talk about harrassment.  I really needed that debt DELETED from my credit history. Just in case I wanted to get another mortgage without paying points.  I have perfect credit.  THEY DID and forked over $ 8,000.00.  All they had to do right from the beginning was put the debt on HIS credit report like the judges said.  Some lawyers are REALLY STUPID!!  Should have taken it to JUDGE JUDY LOL LOL

    [sm=tex.gif]Collection agencies will stop at nothing.  The woman that lived upstairs from me 3 years ago owed everyone.  I was getting collection calls for her, asking me where she is, her new address ,and her new phone number.  I was getting notices posted on my front door, court papers, she was being sued. I would send them back return to sender, moved.  The kooky thing is I had an unlisted, nonpublished phone number. The calls were coming VERY early morning or VERY LATE evening.  They harrassed ME.  Accusing me of hiding her.  How they got MY number I will never know.  I still occasionally get a call for her believe it or not on my cell!   The truant officer still comes here occasionally looking for her children. She is gone 3 years.  And get this she is a secretary fot the my borough (Staten Island) district attorney.  Can't find her huh![sm=happy.gif]
