Another Rejection for a job

    Another Rejection for a job

Ok so I took on this new job in Nov 2004.  I've hated it since almost day 1 and it contributed to a bought of depression last year.  So my BF and I decided to downsize our home in order for me to be able to quit and find a new job.  So now we've downsized and I've had 3 different interviews in the last year and nothing.  I got the latest rejection today.  How crappy...  I know we have it pretty good compared to many people but I'm still very unhappy with my current job.  And it sucks to drive an hour each way to be unhappy....

Leslie, that stinks! What are your resources for job search?   Jules

Sorry to hear that...what sort of a job would you ideally like to find?  What sort of experience do you have?

If you came to Texas, I could teack you how to bend pipe, pull wire, install lights, sweat your butt off, and curse architects and engineers.

Sorry to hear that Leslie. Looking for a decent job can be so rough on the spirit. Remember that you didn't get this job because there IS a better one out there for you! Chin up.

Right.  I'm a computer programmer.  I know a couple different programming languages and it's tough to get a job in a small town.  I've been looking for over a year so that sucks too.

But to add insult to injury, I hit and killed a deer this morning on my way in.  :(  And my car had to be towed.  It's not a good thing when your door comes flying open after hitting a deer and you're trying to stop.  But I've made all the calls, got a rental car and am at work even.  bleh....

OMG - are you okay?  I mean, I know you're at work, but hitting a deer is pretty traumatic.

Job hunt, no thoughts, just wishes for success.  Something will come along.

I'm ok for now.  My shoulders/neck are starting to get really sore... which is not a good thing.

That's a bummer, Leslie. Maybe all the rejections mean that your *dream* job is right around the corner.  We'll keep fingers & paws crossed for you.[:)]

    Leslie:

Sorry to hear - I know it is really tough and I know your last job made you miserable. You have to keep putting yourself out there...

Hang in there - sounds like you have marketable skills.
