• What a surprise magilacudy Posted : 5/17/2006 8:06:22 AM I borrowed a chicken from a neighbor to lay on some duck eggs, because I had too many eggs and not enough hens. So it's almost due for the eggs to hatch, and I go check this morning. • magilacudy Posted : 5/17/2006 8:15:47 AM Ya that baby chick was with my duck eggs. under the chicken. The chicken must have laid an egg when she came here and has been sitting on it the whole time. SO if it's a hen that works out great because mine were killed last year and I havn't gotten around to getting more. It's so nice to have fresh eggs.
