So, we got George and he was already housetrained. We've had a few accidents, but mostly they were our fault for 1. not reading his signs/paying attention, 2. he had an upset stomach. Usually he whines at us when he needs to go out or paces.
Today, however, he was just tired and lazy.
I took him to a local Dog Beach this morning for about 1.5 hours and he ran and ran and got wet and played and played pretty hard for the whole time. He then proceeded to sleep the rest of the day. After a few hours of sleeping he got up and my DH noticed a small wet spot on the carpet. George was sitting by the door so DH took him out. Figured he was sleeping and when he started to pee he woke up and went to the door (didn't whine or anything) Outside he peed and peed and peed... enough to impress 2 grown men.
He must have been really tired.
about 3 hours later my Dh (i was out all afternoon) noticed that there was HUGE wet spot on the carpet, and trails all over the floor. He saw George and he was still peeing, told George No, Stop, did he stop? Nope, just finished up. DH took him outside and he still peed. His bladder must take up most of the room in his body!
George usually lets us know when he needs to go out and we usually take him out about every 3/4 hours. So, this was very very strange.
DH is NOT happy with him right now.
I got home, got to hear the story, and now George is more awake then he has been since this morning. I missed the quite time.... Oh well
