How do you deal with Stress?

His looking at other women doesn't bother me at all.  Hell, I look at hot guys all the time![:D]  What bothers me is that I know when he is looking at these girls, he is thinking, "why can't kimberly look like that"  I want to be thin again.  I miss being able to buy all of those cute little jeans and tops.  If I could even lose 40lbs, I'd be happy as a pig in slop!  With it just being me and maddy here all day, everyday, it's hard to find time to go for a walk.  I'm scared to take maddy with me.  These people around here drive so crazy that I believe one of them would TRY to hit her.

First off I think it is more likely he is thinking "I wanna piece of that".. and isn't comparing you to them actually.. just thinking about what looks good at that very moment. kinda like women do too [:)].. I don't compare DH at all to them when I am looking.. I am just admiring what is in front of me at the time.

I think there are absolutely ways you can drop weight given your circumstances.  There are SO MANY great DVD workout options out there that don't require you to step out of the house... hell you can even work out by doing belly dancing videos![:)]

Also, you can look at your diet and figure out what small changes you can make one at a time  for a healthier lifestyle. Over time you will loose weight.. it just means a few less calories consummed a day and a little more activity. If it is something you really want to do for you (don't do it for anyone else.. just to make you feel good about yourself and to make you healthier), then your goal is achievable. Also, maybe the hubby can allow you 30 minutes of "walking" time a couple nights or so a week and take care of Maddy.  This will be good for your mental health as well! [sm=meditate.gif]

Xeph.. sorry to go off topic on you...[&o]

I wanted to say that I think the blogging things is an excellent option for stress release and there is no reason you have to post any of those in a public manner if you chose not to.

In answer to the OP, normally [sm=floating.gif][sm=censored.gif] [sm=blush.gif]

See and that's...um...kind of my normal stress reliever[sm=blush.gif]  But I have no viable males available to me at present,

woah, woah.... who needs a MAN????[;)][;)][;)]  girl, take a ride out to the "adult shop" where someone nice like me will help you find a battery operated relaxer who never drinks too much, never looks at skinny chicks, and never runs his mouth!!

and to all of you who are worried about the "skinny girls"... my neighbor is the cutest little blonde chick you ever saw- about a size four with great legs and a set of perfect, albeit fake, boobs.  just today, she told me that her husband gave her crap about her tummy getting pudgy, and she also told me she's intimidated to go to pool parties because she doens't look like she used to.  and she gets weirded out if her husband and i spend too long talking about books because she's not so smart..... so if the skinny chix are stressin', doesn't that make you feel a little bit better?  i will say, though, that looking at her is MADDENING[>:][;)]  the grass is always greener...

it depends on the type of stress, but (and i'm suprised nobody else has admitted this) drink.  nothing calms me down like an ice cold beer. *i can stop any time i want, i swear!*

I clean when I'm stressed. Whether it's tidying and organizing, doing laundry, or vacuuming.

Next time you're stressed, wanna come spend a week or two with me?  Please? [:D]

That is JUST men.. I honestly think it is genetic and they can't help it.. when I see my DH looking at a woman I say "she is HOT huh?... I would do her too"

I do that too!  I think I am lucky in that at least I have a hubby who is discreet and I don't often catch him at it.... most men are not so sensitive I think.

Also, I do find writing helps to relieve stress as well... if its something I don't want read I don't have a lockable diary (but even if I did theyre not infallible) so I write it all down and then tear it up into small pieces and set fire to it.  Cathartic.

I DO!  I've got toys out the wazoo (no pun intended).  They give the desired biological release...but not what I want.  It's like "Ok...I'm done...still tense...just tense and tired."

And I want a guy that runs his mouth...as long as it's in the right places [sm=party1.gif]

Ummm, loosing weight truely is NOT going to make you the happiest person in the world.  You might be happier with the way you look and feel, but all the problems you had before are still gonna be there.

Shoot, I'd gladly take back the 50 lbs I lost if it meant I could get rid of some of the OTHER stuff that is weighing on me and stressing me out.

yoga! and going out with friends. I'm planning on going to two yoga classes this week since it's finals and the job interviewing after that. Hanging with friends always pulls me out of a funk as well.

Don't worry too much...some of those "stick girls" are there to gain a little more muscle so they can have the illusion of your curves! Myself included...men like a woman who looks like, well...a woman...not a girl.

The average size of a woman in American is a 12/14, even though models average a size 4.

I went to a party and saw a woman in her effing FORTY's who had a waist that was the circumference of my thigh.  Ok...gross.  Somebody's waist should not be the circumference of my thigh.

At first I went home feeling like absolute dirt and looked at myself in the mirror and was disgusted while feeling wholly unattractive.  And then I realized that that woman had a waist that 12 year olds have.

    Dude....WTF!?  EW!

I'm still losing weight (I swore I'd fit into a bikini this summer, stretch marks be damned (Though I would like to diminish their appearance)), but I can be happy in a size 10/12, and I've lost a good deal of weight since I was 12.

Totally good point..I had forgotten about that little problem that super skinny women often have.  My DH hates women with no butt (he calls them women with "guy butts"). [:)]

Whenver I am on the stairclimber he says "honey you aren't gonna lose weight in the a$$ are you?"

What a stupid, stupid  thing to say.. so I come back witha sarcastic remark like "no honey.. I am keeping my fat a$$, and only targeting the other fat areas of my body.. they have a special function on the stairclimber just for that..."[8|]

    Violent video games.
I love video games, and I always have. I don't play too much anymore, but I like to when I'm stressed out. It's not like they're and outlet for my rage or anything, I lay there really calmly as I play. I feel so relaxed and loose afterwards, it's like I was meditating! Way better than a hot bath!
I enjoy the Resident Evil titles, especially #4, any of the Splinter Cell, Silent Hill or Metal Gear Solid games, Halo, Doom, et cetera. I think they relieve stress because I'm being stimulated mentally while relaxing physically. That's the total opposite of what I do at my job-- moving around all the time while hardly ever thinking!
