Take Your Daughter/Son To Work Day!

Anyone participating? Lily joined her Daddy in the Dallas this a.m. and will be passed off to Grandma at lunchtime to enjoy the Yahoo! office where she works lol! She was uber excited of course!

Lily's school actually sent home a form an everything to officially excuse the kids for this day. I thought that was cool.

DH works on the 67th floor...he has doubts Lily will make it long....the elevator ride and the big window looking DOWN....so we'll see.
I packed her lots of things to do and some snacks so hopefully she won't bother her Dad too much, lol.

Because my BIL worked out of town during the week, DH and I used to take my nieces to work with us, they would switch between our offices at lunchtime (when we lived back home).  They loved it!  They would come to meetings with us and everything.  They looked so cute walking into meetings with their notebook and pen.  I actually made them business cards one year that they passed out.

I think it is such a great idea!!! I actually changed my career plans when my dad took me to work that day :)

Oh, I didn't know that was today[&:]. I don't know if Emily would be able to hang for the whole day though. And personally, I think a programmer's job is pretty boring, I imagine she would too. Too bad I'm not still working, she could have played in the therapy playroom all day!

Does Rupert count as my kid? I pretty much treat him like one. Uh, except I won't be crate-training my furless kids. [sm=biggrin.gif]

I bullied the hubs into letting the Poppet and I stop by for lunch.  She's only 2, so she doesn't get much out of it, but she did have fun 'playing' on Papa's computer and running around everyone's cubicles.  She also really liked the visitor sticker she had to wear.  [sm=happy.gif]
