T.Rex, Tyrannosaurus Rex, or Marc Bolan.

T.Rex, Tyrannosaurus Rex, or Marc Bolan.

    whichever you prefer.

I'm a fan, but the prices of his available material is RIDICULOUS.

We just went on a used cd hunt and ended up at a store and got some disc of a show he did for the BBC. We got that disc for $10, new.
But the guy went on a rant about something about how he got into some disagreement with his record label and something about how the Japanese bought up a lot of their/his stuff and re-release it for a LOT of money.

I didn't know the Japanese part, but I knew that there was some kind of "tie up" with their/his music and now that he's dead, his son seen ABSOLUTELY no royalties to his stuff what-so-ever.

It's ridiculous. I own Electric Warrior, T.Rex, The Slider, Unicorn, some unchained disc, Bolan's Zipgun, and the BBC disc.
And believe me, all but Electric Warrior and the Unchained disc cost me over $20 per disc.

I love Marc Bolan, though. He had a fabulous voice and was pretty talented. But he lost tolerance with the business and was quite full of himself, though he was a fragile human being.

    Any other Bolan fans here?

Love T. Rex, but what I have is on vinyl!  Beard of Stars - has a song I adore called The Woodland Bop!  And a song with lyrics about a lap cat sitting on my shoulder...

Yes! That song, I believe, is on my remastered Electric Warrior!
    Good song.
My favorite, ever, T.Rex album is their self-titled and my favorite, ever, T.Rex song is "One Inch Rock".
    That song is awesome!
