    I PASSED!!

    I passed the silly placement math exam today. I passed with a lot of room to spare. The thing was a farce BTW. It only had 12 questions. 12!!!!!. All of it was basic algebra. Anyway, I passed and then I....REGISTERED!!! I am officially set up to resume college, after 6 years of hiatus, this June!! WOO HOO!!

    My son, Hawke, was so kewl today too. He told me to have fun on my math test and he will have fun with his spelling test. My eldest, Alex, gave me a high five when he learned I passed. I asked him if he and his brothers will be okay with me returning to school and Alex replied with, "Yeah. We are. We will be good for Jason while you study." LOL. (The kids call us by our first names.)

    So...I am so excited. I am sure I will be posting once I enter the classroom for the first time too.

    Congratulations Sara.  Even basic algebra is a challenge for me.  I have a real math phobia [:'(]

    Ashley - did you have to pass the high school exit exam to graduate?  If so, you should be just fine.  If not, they might put you in a self-paced math class and you can move along really fast and then go into the regular classes.  It had been many years since I'd had any math, and had never done well, so I didn't even bother with the placement test.  I knew I needed serious remediation [:D]
