OH MY GOD !!!
A week ago I slipped on the ice and tore my hamstring in my right leg. The pain was instant and searing. I have been doing all the right things (rest, ice, elevation, compression), but after a week, I am still barely hobbling and can't sit, sleep, etc for any length of time. My leg is black from my butt to the arch of my foot.
Anyone else out there ever done this? How long can I expect to be hurting? I am very independent and capable, and it is killing me to need help with virutally everything. DH is being very nice and very patient, but it irks me to no end to have to ask for help getting seated on the toilet and then having it hurt so bad I have to get right back up in 10 seconds! (not to get too personal, but, yes, this is causing another type of problem)[8|]
On a nice little doggy-note, Dango, who is totally and completely DH's dog, hasn't left my side. I believe she is worried about me. Everytime I gasp or sigh, she is right there licking my hand and wagging her fluffy little tail. What a sweetie!
