Ladies, how do you keep your jewels?

    Im stuck...

Im an earring fanatic, I have loads of pretty pairs, but I keep them in a little chest-like thing, and they get tangled, etc. I need an idea to keep studs, danglies, etc. Necklaces are a problem too.

    Help!

How do you keep your jewels?

I don't have a ton of earrings, as things touching me tend to bother me. I think they're awesomely cute, but they start weighing on my ears and then I have this strange fear they'll get caught on something and rip out of my ears. That fear is in the same vein as the reason why I don't wear high heels (you NEVER know when you're going to have to run for your life and I don't want to have to do that in heels!).

They have those stand up jewelry boxes where they have separate compartments for necklaces, earrings and rings.

This is what I use, I have this mounted on the inside of my armoire. Can go anywhere really.

I have one pair of 1/4 karat diamond studs. I keep them in my ears. BF told me if I lost them I would die. I think he was serious, so they stay in my ears.

    BUT maybe little felt pouches?

I like this, but sadly they are not taking orders at the moment...

Feed the post through a button hole, and put on the backing--makes them harder to lose! This works for studs and lever hooks. If you have shepherd hooks or threaders, try to find some little rubber backs ([linkhttp://www.suncountrygems.com/media/earrings/EAMR0001.jpg]http://www.suncountrygems.com/media/earrings/EAMR0001.jpg[/link] - check at jewelry stores, they may give them out for free!) and feed them through a button, then put the back on to keep them from slipping back out.

I put all my earrings in ice cube trays....
    & then in my drawers...
works great for necklaces and bracelets too....

I love my new camera...it comes in so handy....

I don't have earrings, but my mom has a ton of small jewelry and she uses a fishing tackle box to store her stuff - lots of great little compartments and very easy to move/organize. [:)]

OMG the ice cube idea is great.  Currently each pair of my earrings are in their own little ziplock baggie & then tucked into a tackle box.  (I know not the best way to go but it works.)

I have a stand up jewelry box with hanging things for necklaces, bracelts, lots of drawers for earrings, studs in one, dangly's in another and a drawer with a ring holder for all my rings.  Got it when I was in high school.  My mom makes these little pouches that have seperate little pouches inside for earrings, rings and such and the middle is a empty for necklaces and bracelets.  I use it when I travel.

I've always loved earrings, especially the vintagey chandalier kind.  However, I don't have my ears pierced. [:@]  I got them pierced before my wedding, but after a few months, I got a really bad infection so I let them close.

My friend made these really cool earring holders by getting cheap 5x7 picture frames and replacing the glass with a piece of mesh screen.  Then she put all her dangly earrings on them and hung them in her room.

Currently, the only jewelry I wear is my engagement ring (white gold and a blue sapphire), and my wedding ring (tiny white gold band).  I love blue and blue sapphire is my birthstone.  I refuse to buy or ever wear diamonds since it's hard to guarantee you're not buying blood diamonds, and all of them are grossly overpriced and overvalued.  I love toe rings in the summer, and I have a few necklaces but rarely wear them.

I am horrible about losing jewelry. I never buy any for myself, but people constantly give it to me as gifts...and I lose every single piece that I get. I don't have a SINGLE pair of earrings, and I think I can find ONE of my necklaces. I actually lost my wedding band about 4 months after I got married, and it was never seen again. [&o] I'm definitely going to start using some of these ideas to keep track of things! The ice cube tray idea is great!

you can get little pieces of a strong mesh or something, and hang them off of that.  Some one even framed a piece of mesh and used that.  Can't remember where I saw that picture but it worked well.  I just keep most earrings in the boxes I get them in........... I'm allergic to many types of metals so I can only wear the "real" stuff, so it all comes in boxes!
