So did you watch Planet Earth last night??

I did - all 3 episodes - and it was AWESOME!

The photography was absolutely amazing!  The clarity was incredible, even though I don't pay for Hi Def (we have a high-def Plasma TV though).

I was in total awe at the snow leopard, and watching the ocean rays doing their acrobatics and ballet dances while plankton fishing.  It was incredible!   Oh and the dolphins...the whale shark...amazing!

Those chinese snubnosed monkeys gave me the heebie jeebies, they reminded me of the underground critters from the movie Time Machine (can't remember the name of them, began with an M I think).

What did you think??  I'm hooked!

    Mor-locks or something?

I did watch one and a half and the other 2 are Tivo'd...couldn't miss Dresden!! My daughter loved it. Wasn't real impressed with the sea episode as I'd seen most of that in the 'Blue Planet' series.

The Cape Hunting dog hunt was cool...as was the wolf hunt.

Haven't watched it yet but have it recorded. I can't wait to see everything on my 56" in HD!!!!!!!! Just the previews for the show I was watching yesterday looked INCREDIBLE!!!

Two hunts that ended with the victim jumping into the water were exiting, and i was also impressed with this little guy that even cleans his "dancing area" [:D], only when he was facing right or left you were able to see his head

espenc...my daughter got a BIG kick out of the Birds of Paradise. She liked the "happy face" that was on that guy...the dancing had her up and copying them lol!

I also thought Sigourney did  a great job narrating. I picked her voice out right away...didn't even cheat and read the credits lol!

ding ding ding!  Yep, the morlocks.  Those monkeys creeped me out!

I felt kind of bad for the Giant Panda.  But seriously, when you eat a crappy diet of Bamboo that means you can't hibernate and produce weak milk, no doubt you're going to go extinct!  They're so cute, it's too bad they can't adapt to anything else and survive.

Sigourney was good - I agree, her voice is instantly recognizable.  I caught her and Michael Douglas switching off narrating the Nature Conservancy commercials.

The Cape Hunting dog hunt was cool

It was great waching them running together and at one time taking different routes to prepare the attack before any one can see them

Gina...yes....I wonder sometimes about all the hype around conserving them. Seems to me nature was experimenting and perhaps had a limited timeline for them anyhow. I have always thought the scads of money spent might've been better suited towards say...a Rabies program so they don't have to kill all the dogs in China...but hey...what do I know...lmao!
