Update!

    Update!

Sorry I've been MIA it's been kinda crazy around here!
Cadence will be home soon! She is no longer in the NICU! They moved her to the step down nursery last week! As of Friday she was 4lbs 7ozs. She is in an open crib now instead of the incubator and she is off oxygen and breathing all on her own. She isn't on any medication anymore, just vitamins and is learning to bottle feed. As soon as she can take all of her feedings by bottle she will be able to come home! I've breast fed her a couple of times, but it tires her out really fast so it looks like I will have to keep pumping milk and feeding it to her by bottle. It is a royal pain, but worth it for her to recieve the benefits of breast milk.
I have some new pics but I have to call DH and find out what he did with the cable that goes to my camera. When I find it I will post pics!

Oh that is so great! Yes, breastfeeding is tiring for the babes, that's why a lot of bottle-fed first or bottle & breast combo babies sometimes have a hard time nursing. Both mine had to have supplements and while the second one had no trouble going to all-nursing, my first had a lot of trouble getting used to working for her food after we stopped the bottle supplements! Can't wait to see how big she's gotten!

im so happy to hear that things are getting better and that baby is closer and closer to coming home! can't wait to see the new pics. don't give up on nursing, i had to pump and bottlefeed mae for the first 6 weeks because she refused to breastfeed, but i kept trying every couple days and one day she just took right to it...so dont give up hope, cadence is getting bigger and stronger everyday!
