    This just made me LOL...

A coworker just emailed me this, and it is so silly it made me laugh out loud.

Do you ladies know anything about the missing stove knobs in the kitchen up here on the 2nd floor by the auditorium? I understand that they want the knobs removed when not in use, but couldn't they be kept in the kitchen?

Just the fact that we have to worry about stove knobs at a workplace, makes me giggle, not to mention the fact that someone apparently stole said knobs.

Wow...talk about petty, huh? Sheesh!! [:D]

Who would even think to steal a stove knob in the first place?

I sure do feel bad for the lady who has to try and track down the knobs!!!  I mean, how is that value-added work for someone who makes north of $60K a year?

It sounds to me like they pull the knobs off when not in use, so a burner doesn't get turned on accidentally. But the question is, why can't they just set them on top of the stove, so people know exactly where they are. [&:]

if they have childproofing guards for the VCR, don't they have something for a stove, too?  Put that on it to keep folks from "accidentally" turning on a burner.  Either way (removing the knobs or covering them) people can still use the stove and leave it on by accident - makes me wonder why they think people would need to be protected from that sort of idiocy.

Assuming that there aren't any toddlers working there, wouldn't most adults be able to notice whether or not they accidentally turned on a burner? Don't you have to actually grab the knob and turn it?  Fortunately, replacement knobs aren't very expensive.  Maybe she should stock up. [:D]
