    Pregnant boobs (sorry no pics!!)

OK, so I think I'm something like 5 weeks now and my boobs have gone from a 34B to a 36C.  I had to bra shop this weekend and OMG, I feel SO much more comfortable.

Good lord, how much more are they going to grow????  [:-][:-][:-]

Hubby is enjoying them for the time being, lol.

LOTS...my DH liked them too until they started shooting him in the eye...you can get great distance as well....I got 3-5 feet once! Oh yeah and then they hurt so bad that if he even BREATHES on them you screech like a banshee...real romantic!

    A lot...and if you breastfeed, a lot more.[sm=lol.gif]

Actually, some of your breast growth at this time is also affected by heredity, so ask your mom what she experienced (if you can).

I was a 38DD by the end of all that business, started with a 36B, and had always thought I was too small before pregnancy (I'm 5' 8" tall with medium build, about 140 lbs).  I never wished for bigger boobs again.  As it is, I went back to a 36C-D after nursing and am still there after 17 years.  [sm=eek.gif]

I just wonder how often I am going to have to go bra shopping.  If I have to go every 5 weeks this is going to get expensive!

It would be nice if they stayed around.

Umm...well if they stay around you need to understand that the "fullness" will not, once the milk is gone...so umm....yeah you might prefer that they go to pre pregnancy size/firmness. Beats a 34C-loooong if you catch my meaning [;)]

I just did sports bras a lot of the time myself.

I know exactly where you are coming from!  I personally think it is a race which will grow more, my boobs or my stomach!  I agree with Gina, sportsbars are a life saver.  I don't know what I would do without them!

I used to work at a maternity clothing store and frequently have women come in bra shopping, flabbergasted by how many sizes they were going up. A lot of women didn't understand what the point of a maternity bra was until they tried one on - can't say personally but I'm told they are comfy. We used to tell pregnant women to wait until no sooner than 5 weeks before your due date to buy a nursing bra, because your boobs will continue to grow right up until...

I rarely wore a preg. or even nursing bra, I used the camisoles with a built in  shelf bra, and just put nursing pads in those. I got mine at Costco. SO comfortable and versatile, I'd just throw a shirt on over them in spring/fall, a sweater in the winter and in the summer, half the time just wear that. Now I use them to sleep in in the summer.

Erin is right - maternity and nursing bras are a good idea.

Afterward, there are exercises you can do to give some natural firmness back to your breasts.  Like Gina said, once they aren't full of milk or the water you gain while preggers, esp. in the last stages, they won't go back to exactly the way they were.  Sports bras squash the girls, but IMO, a decent fitting bra and some muscle tone can give the support they need.

I couldn't agree more... Sportsbars are the way to go! lol  I could really use a sex on the beach right now...

I'm currently breastfeeding, and so far I have only found one bra that fits. I finally found one at Target that will expand comfortably, meaning it is very stretchy. So when my milk came in, it still fit.

I LOL'd at the sportsbar comment too!

Sportsbras are OK but I frankly like girly underwear...I do sleep in one though.  I appreciate the advice on the maternity/nursing bras.  I'll try to stay "cute" until its just no longer practical!

i know how you feel, i bought my first c while i was pregnant and was shocked that i needed that size. i think i need to upgrade to the next size again now though since breastfeeding has made them even larger. i havent even been wearing one, its been easier to wear tank tops with the built in sports bra, way more comfortable.

if you are only 5 weeks and already moving up a whole size, lordy.

Ahhh yeah! sports bras are the greatest. Gesh my boobs hurt just thinking about engorged breats. So not fun. More so when you have a tiny mouth trying to clamp down. I remember the babies trying to nurse and I would be so full I was spraying milk everywhere before their mouth could even latch on. Poor kids got shot in the eyes a few times. LOL
