I watched it as well, my mom always says you can't complain unless you vote and stay knowlegeable so I always feel guilty not watching ha ha.  The best part I have to admit was nancy pelosi's expressions in the back.  She was ridiculous I couldn't stop laughing.  You can just tell she hates the guy.  She stood out even more because she was wearing this light mint green suit among the dark blue and black.  I'm sure her PR team was dying watching her.

An historical event, when President Bush acknowledged Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House and the first female to preside over the State of the Union address.

I did not understand the part of speech where he would be requesting funds from Congress to hire civilians for the military.  I was wondering went that meant and I noticed the puzzled looks he got.  I thought he had Haliburton so why would he hire civilians in the miliary.  The one part of the speech that threw me.

This is a pretty interesting tool and also kind of fun to play with - a NYT SOTU speech analyzer thingy where you can see how frequently Bush used a particular word in his SOTU from year to year. I thought it was fun to plug in Bin Laden, Saddam, Al Qaeda, and Education. [;)]

I'm sure his little blip about "money for the troops that are there and money for the troops that will be going over" wasn't lost on anyone. I hope Nancy Pelosi can make his last two years a living he**.  Now that we have a bright, articulate woman as speaker (second in line, folks) maybe it's time for Dickie to take the boys on another hunting trip.

i was at work and didnt get to watch (we watched american idol instead ;) )

his speeches are just too hard for me to listen to anymore. i live in a military town, have too many friends in iraq, know too many families affected by this to not  get upset listening.
