Teen Actors too old!

I was watching "fast and ferious tokyo..." I don't really care for thoes types of moves but there was nothing better to rent. Well the main actor from what I understood was playing a part as a High Schooler with some problems but the guy looks like he's over 30 maybe even closer to 40! He had a receding hairline for goodness sake! Then the other actors looked much older than what they should also. It was so hard to just follow the story when the actors didn't match the chariters they were playing.

Anyone else get annoyed by this? Not just in this move, I've seen it in others as well. Why do they have 30 yr olds playing teen parts? Why can't they just find teens to play thoes parts?

I looked up the movie. It looks like the main actors were born in either '81 or '82. A little old to be playing teens, but not too old. I didn't watch Tokyo Drift, since the only reason I watched the first two was because of Paul Walker.

i always thought the same thing when i used to watch 90210. i guess at some point in the show they werent in high school any more, but the first few years they were. the male characters always looked the oldest on that show to me.

i think one of the main reasons why they cant have actual high school aged people are the "love scenes". i think it might be a little illegal to have a nude/semi-nude scene with a 15 y.o. or something. plus i would think it would be a hassle to have to make sure they all had tutors and did their "school work".

it would be nice if they would use late teen (18-19) or people in thier early 20's.

I was born in 82 and these actors look even older then most people my age!

I understand the whole legal thing of it all but even at that, can't they at lest find someone in their early 20's? I know a few people including myself who still get asked to show an ID just to buy a lottery card which you have to be 18 to buy because we almost look that young.

I just find it hard to keep my mind on a move when the actors just don't fit the part.

of course, i went to high school with a guy that had a full beard and was starting to loose his hair when we were 15. he was same age as me, so i am not sure why he looked so much older than the rest of us.

Oooh ooh, I do, I do!! That ALWAYS gets on my nerves. 30 year olds playing 16 year olds..WHY?? So flipping annoying! Do you ever watch Nip/Tuck? There's a guy on there, the character is 17, I believe, and the actor is 29 freakin years old! Why?? If he looked like the people who play his parents, fine, but he doesn't, and he's not even a great actor. It's bothersome. You know who else bothers me? 37 year old Ellen Pompeo, who looks even older than 37, playing, what, 27 year old? Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy. That's one of my favorite shows, but it bothers me that she's so old (and that she's not a great actress..sigh). I still think it should be Stevens' Anatomy. [

If you ever want to REAL laugh (and are legally old enough to do this), check out any adult video with "teenage" in the title. I can guarantee you tha tthe "teenagers" are at least 30! Wrinkles when you're 15? Only in Hollywood! ROFLLL
