I took my dog Kay to the vet to have a tumor checked. He
did the needle biopsy and it was just fat cells, nothing too
unusual for a twelve year old. I started tracing it with wax
paper, marking the date because it was growing rapidly. I
called and asked them to remove it when it reached the size
of a softball in just a few weeks. I believe she was rubbing
it against the side of the dog door and it was filling with fluid.
The receptionist called and told me the vet wanted to
schedule an appointment to talk before I picked her up. I
started to panic and asked her to find out what was wrong.
She told me the vet said something about finding puppies which
was impossible since she was spayed and the tumor was on her side.
It turned out the Vet was just excited about what he found in the
tumor. He said the inside looked like a geod (rock) and when
he cut it open he found fingertip sized fragments of undeveloped
littermates in a green fluid. I didn't get to see it but it sounded
very gross.
