RIP, Donna

reason you probably don't remember Donna is because she was never a member here.

You may be right - the split that caused many members of idog to bail and go to DA and other forums was so long ago.  But, as a long time member here, at ODO and at DA, I can tell all of you that it doesn't matter where Donna was a member, or if we have our recollections right.  She was a member of the dog community, because of her love for Porsche, Jake and Putter, and the dogs on the forums where she did post.  That makes her special enough for me, and worthy for remembrances.  Her story is still very sad, and I think that Glenda's words are well taken.  Donna's son was probably living his own private hell, from mental illness, and the family that forgives him is no less damaged - they simply understand that he was not in control of himself to done such a thing...

Same here, Glenda.  I think that a lot of us were thinking/hoping the same thing

I was actually praying that she never had a chance to know who it was...and that is not meant to be mean-spirited, but to have saved her the anguish of knowing

For any DA's lurking, that is all we intended to mean by the comments.  My heart breaks for the family...

Anne, you are so right! She seemed to be such a lovely person!  We are all happy to know at least a little bit of her.
Glenda, your words were said with love and respect. We all know that.
Donnas fiance and family are forgiving Solon,,,and want us all to do the same. Donna would also because she loved him.
