    Suggestions?!?

I don't think you need to be a rabbit enthuast to answer this, but one of my "soon-to-be" momma rabbits has started developing an excessive amount of discharge in her left eye. What can I get to get rid and prevent this, i have already tried just plain water with a rag (no luck) any suggestions?

I'll post some pics of her eye for you, for now, my out-dated piece-of-crap digital camera isn't working!

You should have her looked at.  Usually this is the first sign of bacteria. Watch for a runny nose or cough. But i would bring her in, and the DR might give you antibiotics. But I'm not sure because she is pregnant. I've never had my rabbits get this so I'm not positive. Is this your first time having baby buns?

I have had rabbits all my life! I love all their little corky personalities, i guess i've always been a rabbit lover! I have witnessed many, many, many litters in my day! Never had this problem before i was hoping there was some way I could just clean it out! She doesn't have a cough or runny nose, just a eye with discharge!

Edit: she is very healthy otherwise and is eating like a little piglet!

Maybe call the vet and ask if you can give her a drop, just in case she passes this on to the babies.

Ok, I really hope it's not contagious!
