is Roscoe his normal self or do you notice a change in his personality?
He's pretty much his normal self. He's a little annoyed with us because she won't leave him alone. So we try to make sure that we give him some one-on-one time. And he's the only one allowed to snuggle on the couch, so that gives him a break from her. I play fetch from the couch, and he lies in my lap. [
] He is much more playful than usual, but that's mostly 'cause she harasses him into it. He has only initiated a couple times. She's also too rough with him (choked him a couple times!!), so we're working on correcting that.
aww she is beautiful! is she part blue tick?
We don't know what she is, but that's what the rescue said. But since they also said she was part Bernese, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. She does use her nose like no other dog I've known (even Roscoe the confirmed bluetick [&:]). But more than one person has suggested sighthound or border collie, too.
Scout is holding her own, but she is
not pleased. Bella plays too rough and likes to chase. The biggest difference we've seen in Scout is that she doesn't initiate play with Roscoe anymore. [
] We try to give her lots of one-on-one time, too, and make sure she gets to play with her toys without interference from Bella. I'm really hoping Bella will settle down and they can be friends, too.
