Most shelters are very glad to have the resident visit the prospective adoptee. It helps keep people from bringing a dog home and then having to bring it back, for one thing. I would definitely take Blaze along.

I can't wait until I can get a friend for Sofia....

Bringing Blaze will allow you to see how he reacts to the dog, so it's definitely a good idea.

Our kitten was hanging out at a friend's house who couldn't keep her. So, I walked Shadow to her house, which would be neutral territory for him to see if they could get along or if he would think she's a snack.

I think it's a good idea to introduce the two on neutral ground. That's not always a guarantee that things will work out but it introduces the other animal so that if you do bring the pup home, he's not a total stranger invading the space.

God luck hope it works out for you.

I would take Blaze with you to make sure they get along together.
