    Take it from the TOP!

Here's a bird, or squirrel's eye view of Sandy...neat markings eh, note the thumbprint on her nape [:)]! Anyone else got a top view of their dog?

Hey Gina, I was wondering about something.  I saw my neighbor walking his beagle yesterday and it is just the cutest lil' pup I've ever seen (and I love pups).  It seems that I saw him walking the puppy 3 or 4 times over the course of a few months and it's still soooo tiny.   Is there such a thing as a miniature beagle, or maybe it just looks that small compared to my big labs.  Whatever, it was just the cutest sight to see [:D].

Hi Cathy, welll there are some folks out there breeding "pocket Beagles" ugh. At one time there WERE 10" Beagles....but they quickly fell out of favor then because they could not be hunted and were not as hardy as the breed should be. I have stopped by the various websites and seen some strange and un Beagly colors, crooked legs...long bodies, strange earsets....long noses...and really thin coats that lead me to think they're using miniature Dachshunds in their 'breedings'...gagme. [:'(]

My Ellie is still quite tiny...she's a bit over 11 weeks now and weighs less than 8lbs likely. Bracket is a chunk at about 9-10...at 8 weeks they all weighed between 6-8lbs with Sandy being the biggest as she's going to be a 15". 13" are quite small and people aren't really used to seeing them...usually you see the ganglier taller leaner look. My 5y/o Susie used to get called a "puppy' all the time lmao! Just because she was smaller at just under 13" and around 17-18lbs.

Well, beats me but I hope it wasn't some strange breeding mix.  Looked like a purebred beagle but I'm certainly not the best judge.  I was looking at your other puppy pics and the one I saw was definitely more petite than your stocky guy - who is soooo darn adorable too.  I swear I wanted to run outside and ask the guy about his dog, but I'd have probably freaked him out and he was doing training while he was walking.  I'll have to ask next time I see him though.  The little tail in the air was just the sweetest thing I've seen in ages though.

Wow!  Don't see many "open" markings in the US. In fact, the Beagle down the road is the only one I've seen until now.  I know that type of marking is more popular in the UK, tho.  Sandy sure is a beautiful girl!

    She is so beautiful.

I just love her colors.  Riley puts his head over his front paw the same way [:)]

    I love Sandy's markings.

Jen, I don't know how Roscoe sleeps like that. His spine must be made out of jello lol.
