WOW!  His color really has gotten a lot brighter!!  He is just sooo cute.
    • Gold Top Dog
    He's beautiful!

Ain't he? He ate some chicken last night...too cute!
I finally found a brand of turtle kibbles he likes enough to at least try. I can tell when he's hungry because he swims around "hunting" lol...He wants nothing to do with lettuce or any other green. But I read the babies are more carnivorous so that's doubtless why. They don't have minnows small enough for him at the store...otherwise I'd offer him some.

    Gosh, he's cute!

...He wants nothing to do with lettuce or any other green...

I wouldn't worry about that- lettuce isn't too nutrional anyway.  Just had a thought- do you think guppies are small enough for him to eat?
    • Gold Top Dog
    Hmm maybe...
I was also looking at those tiny tetra's but they're so FAST! I don't even think he could catch one lol! Are guppies "darters"?
I wouldn't want him to work so hard for his food he loses any calories he might gain eating it lol!

Hadn't thought about tetras, but you're right, they're darters.  I haven't had guppies since I was a kid, but I don't remember them being like that.
    • Gold Top Dog
He's the coolest!  I just love turtles.
    • Gold Top Dog
If i remember right, guppies are pretty lackadaisical. Golum is the prettiest green!!

I came across an All Turtle site with a message board you may want to check it out.

Cool green colors!  Turtles really are cool...does he/she bite? or is that just snapping turtles?
    • Gold Top Dog
Oh all turtles can bite...and some quite enjoy it lol! This little guy will offer to bite if you push him but he doesn't seem overly aggro. I had to feed him mealworms a few times by hand and I used his tendency to open his mouth when bothered to my advantage...his too actually, now he knows mealworms are GOOD EATIN'! hehe
