    sampson's growing up

Remember the puppy that we were dogsitting on weekends?  We haven't watched him in a few weeks because the people that had us watch him gave him to a friend, and now that person gave him up and I thankfully was able to find the perfect forever home for him.  His new mommy is great and won't make him bounce around anymore.
Before I brought him to his new mommy I brought him to my place to play with Miya and Shane and gave him a bath.  He has gotten so big!  And the hair on the top of his head looks like it's been crimped.  He's about 15 weeks now (that's what his original owner said anyways).

Here's his 'baby' pictures (even though he's only a few weeks older now)

    And here's him now:

Poor kiddo!  Why on earth would people not want that cutiepie?!?!?!?!  I can't believe he's changed so much.  Thank you for finding him a good home.

Wow.  The commitment level some people are capable of is unbelievably overwhelming.

Good for you for finding him the right fit - he's so cute!

well at the first home he had, they went out of town every other weekend to visit family and he gets carsick so they paid us to watch him whenever they went.  they didn't feel like taking the time to take him for short trips to get him used to the car, they didn't feel like getting him dramamine so he wouldn't get sick, and they didn't want to hassle us all the time.  (we already have two dogs and in an apartment.  and having a puppy here wasn't very fun)
so they gave him to a mutual friend of ours...he can't afford his apartment anymore so he's moving back in with his mom and his mom won't allow sampson to go with him because he chewed her cellphone up real bad.
basically all the problems they've both had were because they didn't want to or couldn't take the time to train him.  DH and I are the ones that potty trained him because neither owner had the time to do it.
A little about his new mommy, she lives with her twin sister and they had a german shepherd for a really long time.  A great dog, beautiful, amazingly well behaved and trained.  She got pregnant and before she could have the pups, the pregnancy killed her.  This happened probably at the end of summer.  She was so torn up about it.  Her and her sister are in their fifties and neither were able to have children, so Jewel was their baby.  So the day I asked if she wanted Sampson was her and her sisters birthday and she got so excited at the thought of having another dog.  She got Sampson the next day and her and her sister are so happy with their birthday present.  :D

And yes, Sampson is really cute, but he's a pill.  Probably more for me because I have two dogs already, one of which is still in her puppy phase, and I'm in an apartment so it was hard watching him.  From day one he's played rough with even the biggest dogs; he tortured Miya.  He's just a fearless hyperactive puppy and a lot of people can't handle that lol.  They'll have their hands full but they will actually enjoy training him and i know they'll love him and be a great home.  :D
so i rambled so much lol
