• New addtion coming in February! Rosa Cruey Posted : 1/1/2007 3:17:04 PM Hey all, I just wanted to let everyone in on some great news!!! We are expecting a new addtion in February! She is a Long Coat Chihuahua puppy. We discussed things with the breeder last night...which is also a member on another forum I belong to. She lives only 2 1/2 hours from our house. She won't be ready until February 8th. Which is great timing since we are hoping to get moved into our new home around that time. Anyway, we've been talking of adding a puppy to the household once we get moved in, so I am so excited. I am sure Radar will adjust to the change pretty easy. He's pretty laid back, so I don't have to worry. Our new puppy, which is now named Cinnamon, is registered and is from great lines. I am so excited, I just can't wait! Her mother's name is Honey, and the breeder has another female named Sugar, so I thought it was fitting for her to have a similar name. And, we feel like the name Cinnamon suits her appearance. I really love her, she's the first puppy I have purchased online, and I am over-whelmed with excitement! Cinnamon will cost us $500, and will be sold with a contract, a one year health guarantee, a puppy scrapbookwith pics of her puppy hood with her parents, AKC papers, and a homemade doggie outfit made by the breeder. • Rosa Cruey Posted : 1/2/2007 3:47:12 PM Well, the breeder says the puppies will be long coats. But, I am thinking it could go smooth or long. Her mother is a red longcoat and the father is a tan w/ blue markings smoothcoat. We don't really prefer either, we're just glad we got another Chi on the way. • Rosa Cruey Posted : 1/3/2007 1:25:14 AM I tend to really like the name Cinnamon. It hadnt even crossed my mind until we searched dog names. It really suits her appearance, so it sorta stuck. Anyway, the breeder said there is a chance that the black on her body will lighten or even go away. If her color changes, we are hoping her black mask will stay.
