When my sister first rescued her (she belonged to my sister for a while, and then I ended up with her), she lived in NC and I lived in MD, and she was always telling me how ugly this dog she got was. I hadn't seen pictures or anything. After a month or two, my sister moved back up to Maryland, and comes walking down my street with my Cherokee, at 11 or 12 months. I couldn't believe that THIS was the dog she kept telling me was "so ugly". I still don't understand. Obviously Cherokee isn't stunningly gorgeous or anything, but ugly? My sister has said since that it was just because she had this odd super puffy gray hair on the back of her legs, plus she was pretty skinny, but still.
