    Lady Becomes a Pumpkin

Hi folks...wanted to share a pic of our dog, Lady -- some of you may remember some of my many posts from back in July when we got her...anyways, it's her first Halloween season with us, and my husband got the creative idea to use a headshot he had of her to make a pattern for a pumpkin carving. I think it turned out pretty cool!!

Here's Lady with "her" pumpkin!! (She looks a little grumpy...it's because we made her sit still and "pose", haha!)

Wow!  I think you did a great job!

That looks awesome!  You guys are talented carvers!  Every time I've tried to carve a pumpkin, it looks awful -- even when I try a simple face with triangle eyes and a smile.  Lady's a pretty special girl to have a sculpture made in her honor!

Wow!  That's amazing.  Of course it's easy to be so creative when you have such a stunning model.

What a GREAT idea. I love carving pumpkins and using interesting designs. I might have to try this myself. Well done!! [sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif][sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]

Thanks guys! [:)] I have to give all the credit to my husband...it was his idea, and I wasn't entirely sure he could pull it off! Basically he took a headshot of her with a digital camera, pulled the pic into Photoshop and simplified the image enough to make it more of a "silhouette" of her (she's a bit easier to do this with than some other dogs would be since she's got such dark markings on her face.)

As soon as he took these pics, I instantly thought of this forum and I knew I'd have to post a pic! [:D]
