Figment and Dora - 6 mos old

I grew up with long haired Collies and never knew there was a breed with a smooth coat.  They are gorgeous!  I loved my Collies, but the hair was a big upkeep.  Do they shed a lot?

Wow they are looking nice! I still say they look huge compared to Liz, and shes supposed to be a month older! LOL

Do you have any baby pics? I missed those!

    Colliewog-

Okay, the next time I see a pic of Dora, I may have to drive down to FL and dogknap her.  She is so adorable!!!!  I think Figgie is nice too, but something about Dora really grabs me.  (Of course I also have the tri-ing position at my house filled right now.  Maybe a trade?[8D])

Great Picture. I can't believe they are 6 months old it seems like just a few days I was looking at puppy pictures. They have gotten so big and still stunning.

Um, Agile, I'll fight you for Dora. ~L~  I LOVE tri's.

It'll have to be an all out brawl for Dora - not that all the Colliewogs aren't perfectly wonderful, but there's something just so sassy about Dora!!

The smooth is just a variety of Collie.  They are the same as the rough except for the hair. (The AKC does not differentiate between the two varieties on their registration, it just says "Collie").  They are double coated, so they will shed, but it's not as "invasive" as the rough's hair.  Rough collie hair weaves into fabric and can outlive a nuclear blast. lol Smooth hair brushes off your clothes and furniture easily, although it does constantly reproduce. They weigh 39 and 41 lbs, respectively.  How big is Lizzie?

And here are a few baby pics ...

    1 week

    2 weeks - that's Dora's head in Fig's mouth

For all of the Dora fans, she looks sweet on film, but is far more tri-ing than the worst tri-ing Badsenji, I quarantee it!

They don't stay still long, so there's plenty of room [:D]

    hahahahahahahah!

funniest thing I've read all day.

I guess you'll find out when I do the switch.  And keep in mind, my tri-ing has almost 9 years of training on him.  I'm sure Dora at least has more braincells.  My tri-ing has two.  And they are waaaay far south of his ears.
