Camp Trip

• Camp Trip Xebby Posted : 8/20/2006 12:12:35 AM Last weekend my boyfriend, Gizmo and Me went camping.  It was fun but we had to end our trip early due to rain covering most of the state and floods that took out many of the good camp sites.  Funny how our state didn't get rain almost all summer and suddenly it's decides to flood the day we go camping.  Anyway, Giz enjoyed the hikes and little fishing we did but decited her favotre part of camping was to hide in the tent.  Here are some pics from our camp site.  I have more but have yet to scan them. We packed up the tent and Giz just stood in the spot where it was Diffent Camp site then the first one-  Her is Giz licking her lips as she watched my BF make smores, no chocolat for her... Giz and me, yeah I know my hair is a mess but it's all part of camping.  We were at a place called The Vally Of Fire, where 1000 years ago lava flowed throught the vally and now all remains is a bunch of basalt. Last and final camp site (200 miles away from the first 2), just packing up and getting ready to go to get out of the rain. • Xebby Posted : 8/20/2006 10:28:56 AM Monsoon season just took us bt surprize.  Many places in New Mexico got flooded and many homes will need to be repaired.  The water doesn't soak into the ground quickly in the desert so there is a whole lot of runoff.  Really wish I could have camped for longer but that rain just would not stop[>:] 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
