    Tuesday chat

Theo watches the squirrels closely but he doesn't make any move towards them, so guess that we're lucky in that.  The entertainment factor is worth the cost of peanuts!

Thankfully the shoulder settled down.  DH did a nice massage with woodlock, all down into the shoulder girdle and that seemed to do the trick.  Those muscles just were in full riot mode, but hopefully they've gotten over it now.

Julie, you're weekend sounds FAB!  Well, except for not being able to shower......

Hope everyone has a great day!

Just to show you what a high-maintenance gal I am, the weekend Julie described didn't sound fun to me at all!  No shower would be fine for a day or so, but not in that kind of heat, and not after those kinds of sweat-inducing activities.  Lazy bum that I am, I'd prefer sitting inside with A/C, reading a good book on a super hot, humid day!  But, I'm sure the dogs had a blast!

Glad your shoulder is feeling better Glenda.  You probably just pushed it a bit too far with the moving and unpacking.

DH leaves for a fishing trip in Hell's Canyon tomorrow.  Thankfully, my SIL is coming to stay, so I won't be on my own if my MIL has another emergency.  I'm glad he didn't cancel his trip (he was considering it).  It's the only vacation he takes all year, and it's perfect for him to de-stress because he has to be totally unplugged since no cell service or wi-fi is anywhere to be found!  With everything he's had to handle due to his mother's issues, along with 10-12 hour days at work, he needs the break.

Ruby will be in two modes while he's gone:  totally depressed and moping, interrupted by moments of crazy pent up energy that she has to express -- probably with a ton of demand barking and in-house zoomies.  I've got frozen Kongs ready to go!

I had a decent day off yesterday. I need to take time off more often. When I can find time, of course. Confused

I hope your DH enjoys his vacation, Tracy. How long will he be gone?

DS is supposed to come over tonight and bbq some food for dinner. I'll be surprised if it stops raining long enough to do so.

I'm getting closer to being able to paint my garage door. Hopefully it will be done over the 4th of July weekend. It was poorly done previously and is requiring a lot of sanding. Thank goodness for power tools.

Not sure why the guy I dated for several months 4 years ago tried to call me last night. It's not the first time, but it'll be the last. I blocked his phone number.

The pile isn't too huge, but goofing around here isn't getting the work done.

    TTFN.

Glenda -- sorry about the shoulder.

Tracy -- glad you'll have some company.

Work has been insane and I just have NOT been able to take any time to post.   Add to that the IMHA stuff is insane this year (I do a lot of that on FB -- it's the only thing I do on FB but it's where the need is  but that  one thread results in hundreds of posts a day)  and  the AIHA or IMHA thread on here    has been so busy.  For a rare disease it is sure getting prevalent.

My crew are fine.  I continue to have  the muscle spasm thing - -they are still convinced it is a result of sciatic nerve trapped in muscle, likely exacerbated by a disc I have that is pretty much not there any more, and with the psoriasis I'm no good surgical risk.  So I just do what I can.

    *waving to everyone*

I'm here but I'd rather not be.  Busy at work and I'm cranky from dealing with idiots all day yesterday and then again this morning.

Tracy, don't forget the frozen margaritas for you and your SIL while Ruby is enjoying one of her frozen Kongs. :)  I'm glad your DH is going on his fishing trip.  It sounds great to be away from it all with no phone access.

For a rare disease it is sure getting prevalent.

You know, I'd never heard of AIHA or IMHA before joining this forum many years ago, but now it seems like I hear about cases of it fairly regularly.  I wonder if it really is becoming more prevalent, or if it's just that phenomenon where you start seeing/hearing something all over the place after an initial encounter (kind of like when you get a new car, and suddenly that make/model is everywhere you look!).

Callie, I'm sorry you're still dealing with muscle spasms -- chronic pain is exhausting.

Tina, I hope you get your BBQ dinner as planned.  Just tell your son to carry an umbrella while he's tending the grille!  Wink

DH will be fishing for 4 days, so not a lengthy vacation, but better than nothing.  He's really looking forward to his cell phone not ringing constantly, but he won't be entirely technology-free.  He's bringing his iPod for music because all the guys snore so loud (they share cabins) that he needs something to drown them out when he goes to bed!

Good idea about the frozen margaritas, Jackie!  Duly noted!

I can't imagine that much time in the heat+humidity & no shower, I can however, imagine how awesome the AC felt when you got to it!

Saturday's get together went fairly well after it got going.  Though one of my friends did comment on the fact that initially I'm a "nervous hostess".  It didn't help that we were bringing together 2 different sets of friends and you never know how that will turn out.  Thankfully, in this case, it was a success.

Mmm BBQ sounds good.  I hope the rain doesn't spoil it.

Gosh, what a great getaway for your hubby, Tracy.

Callie, so sorry that you are still suffering.  I couldn't agree more that chronic pain is exhausting.

BBQ does sound good.  Here's hoping the rain lets up long enough to cook!

The move isn't responsible for the increased shoulder pain.  That lands squarely on Friday being a complete and total hell day....too much driving, too much in and out of the car, and too much lugging of newspapers.  Fridays have always been exhausting, but with the increased territory, they are even more so.  With the bad wing, much more so.  The two together just really kick me, hard.

I came home a hair early today and got more accomplished with emails than I had all day.  How sad is that?
