I was told on my last visit that I could use trifocals, too, Glenda. Between the frames I chose and the higher expense of those kinds of lenses, I nearly choked when I saw the price ($500+). Our insurance has minimal coverage for glasses (basically covers exams). That was nearly 3 years ago, and I've still done nothing. I've had a couple friends get trifocals and end up tossing them in a drawer and resorting to keeping reading glasses all over the place because the tri's made them feel seasick. For $500, I don't need to feel sick. I'll just keep making the font larger on my computer screen at work and buy a bunch of cheap reading glasses. Oy, aging can be a real drag.
Good to hear from you GingerP! Glad the office move is going well thus far. Looking forward to seeing you more when you get settled.
So Ruby had a miraculous recovery by yesterday evening. She was back to her usual self, begging to play with her toys (since she wants to tug with everything, we didn't give them to her). She was doing zoomies around the house and went on her usual walk after dinner. It must've been the anesthesia and injected dose of painkiller they sent her home with that had her so out of it. The Tramadol and Caprofen she's taking now don't seem to affect her, other than she has some truly awful gas!
Very grey and drizzly today. I can't seem to get motivated to tackle the bigger tasks on my desk, so I keep frittering away time with smaller ones.
