I'm sleepy this morning.  Didn't get home from the reactive dog class until 10 and then couldn't get to sleep for a while.  Spurs beat Portland last night.

Karen, class tonight was just for owners and next week too.  Then the doggie fun begins on the 20th.  I was 30 minutes late to class.  So embarrassed to walk in so late.  I almost blew it off  when I saw how late I was going to be but I've been waiting too long for this class.  I left the house in plenty of time because being late is something I hate.  Anyway, I zoned out and kept driving on the wrong highway ten miles past my exit.  Then when I realized my stupid mistake, I finally got turned around.  Got to the right road and couldn't find the @#$$%! building!  I finally pulled over and had DH look it up on Google maps.  I had turned the wrong direction, again!  I felt like the biggest fool on the planet when I walked in late. It didn't matter much because it was just theory and stuff that I already know but still felt flustered and ditzy.

Bugsy, GingerD looks like that, too, when I leave for work. She lays on a throw rug in the kitchen and stays there - not sure if she is watching the door going to the garage or keeping an eye on the food container.

Jackie, I hate being late, too, and I think I hate being lost even more. I'm glad you made it to the class safely.

Rainy day here. I really wanted to stay in bed for another hour or two. LightningUmbrella

lol Jackie, sounds like a horrible experience. Good for you for not throwing in the towel!

All this rain is going to require a lawn mowing real soon. Like this weekend soon. boo!  It should have to be at least 80 degrees ONCE before I have to mow the lawn. And I have a zillion dandelions in my front yard for some reason so need to take care of that! And I have a fog light out on my truck. And my ankle hurts and I Have a charlie horse in my calf from PT that just won't go away. And it looks like it's going to rain every day while I'm in NC. whine whine whine!

I'm so happy with Abbie's searching lately. She made a pretty incredible live find last night out in the woods then did great on HR in a building. She found one of the HR sources in the building came back and barked then put her nose on this folder holder thingy, then looked at me, pointed at the folder holder, looked at me, point, etc. Stupid me asks the person watching me "is that where it is?" before rewarding my dog. OF COURSE THAT'S WHERE IT IS, DUMMY! I'm sure Abbie was thinking, how more direct can I be and you aren't believing me?! Dogs are much smarter than us sometimes, I swear lol

I'm at home this morning.  We didn't feel comfortable leaving Ruby alone since the pain meds are making her really woozy and wobbly.  DH is coming home at noon, then I'll go to work, so we're splitting our day.

She slept like a rock, but I was awake most of the night, making sure she was breathing normally and everything.  i couldn't fall asleep, so I listened to some podcasts while  Ruby and DH slumbered soundly beside me!  Needless to say, I feel crummy today.

Jackie, I would've been a cursing maniac if I'd experienced your driving mishap.  That kind of stuff makes me so mad at myself.  Glad you got there finally.  I'll be eager to hear how the dog part of class goes.  I've not found anything like that in our town, but it could be valuable for us and for Ruby.

I would be so impressed if I saw first hand the kind of work Abbie does.  So incredible.  I know it's the result of a ton of work, so well done Julie!

Aww, Bugs, don't be sad.  Mom will be home soon!

Julie, have some cheese. :)  The description of Abbie trying to convince you she'd found the HR was hilarious.

Tracy, there was some blue ribbon cussing going on last night as I tried to find that place.  I was so mad at myself.  I think being late is so rude and I am very careful to plan ahead and allow extra time in case of traffic or bad weather.  On the rare occasions that I'm late I feel terrible.

I hope Ruby feels better this afternoon.  You're such a sweet dog mom to Ruby.

Yup, being late is maddening regardless, but if you can blame traffic or weather, it's a little easier to experience.  Having only yourself to blame, the cursing definitely becomes blue ribbon quality!  Tongue Tied

Here's a photo of Ruby yesterday evening.  I put a heating pad on the bed, under her usual blanket, and she zonked out on it for a long time.  She's always chilly, so I was concerned she'd be extra so after anesthesia.  I mentioned it to the vet tech, and she said they put a warming blanket and booties on the dog during the procedure!

Aww what a spoiled puppers. I hope she is feeling better!

Aww, sweet Ruby.  Hope tomorrow she's back to her silly crazy self. :)
